What is it?
Shadow Day is an annual event offering college students the opportunity to meet with professionals and get an inside look into a real day on the job. The professionals will share their career experiences and provide an honest perspective about what it takes to succeed in the industry. Following the shadowing experience in the morning, students are encouraged to attend the PRSA luncheon featuring a guest speaker.
Why YOU Should Come!
One of the best ways to learn whether or not you’re on the right career path is to witness firsthand a real “day-in-the-life” of a PR professional in the industry. It’s the perfect time to gain insight as well as a vision for your future job. Then, at the luncheon, you will have the chance to network with dozens of professionals and other college students—and share your goals of landing an internship or job.

How to Stay Connected!
Once you’ve networked, it’s important to stay connected. We encourage you to become involved in your campus PRSSA chapter, consider a PRSSA Student Membership and attend the monthly PRSA OKC professional development meetings to keep plugged in to the industry. Members of PRSSA can attend the monthly meetings at a discounted rate of $17.
Professionals: We Need You!
We are currently looking for volunteers to team up with students. Shadow Day gives you the chance to share your experiences in public relations as well as look for potential interns or new hires for your organization. This is an important part of a student’s educational experience, and we hope that you will make yourself available to increase their knowledge of the public relations industry. Please register above. We also encourage you to attend the luncheon!
